MEG FOUNDATION The Marleah Elizabeth Graves (MEG) FOUNDATION is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the former Cliftondale School. The Foundation’s goal is to create a center of cultural, educational, and civic pride for the Town of Saugus and the entire North Shore community. The MEG Foundation is administered by a board of directors committed to restoring this historic building for cultural events and community organizations whose activities enrich our lives. The Foundation is supported by a large number of patrons and businesses in the area. Funding for the MEG Foundation is provided by individual donations, benevolent business contributions, and grants. The Town of Saugus granted the Foundation a fifty year lease, independent of town funding, in 2008. The board members of the MEG Foundation have successfully raised in excess of two hundred thousand dollars to complete phase one of the restoration.continue reading …
